Three young women audition for the lead role in a theatre production after the lead actress quits. One is an aspiring dancer with extensive training, one has experience in performing, and one is the former dance partner of the director of the production. Meanwhile, the three young men in charge of this production fall in love with the girls. They struggle to decide who is best for the role until circumstances decide for them.
I really enjoyed this movie. The sets were very pretty, the songs were catchy, and the storyline was good. I thought the movie was artistic and I really liked some of the costumes as well as the dancing and other choices made by the director. I was happy with how the movie ended, even though it was a typical happy ending. I liked that aside from Debbie Reynolds, I wasn't familiar with any of the other cast members. I discovered new stars that I'd never heard of before but who are really talented. The dance sequences were great in themselves, and the settings of said sequences added even more to the movie and made it very pleasing to the eye in terms of colors and props. I feel like this film is kind of underrated, and I would definitely recommend it to people.

AuthorHello fellow film lovers! Just a little bit about me: I love movies from the Old Hollywood era, especially musicals. In general, my movie taste is a bit all over the place. I don't really stick to one genre, as I just watch whatever looks interesting! I look forward to broadening my horizons in terms of film and reviewing them to the best of my ability in an honest way. Reading another passion of mine, and I'm frequently told I have an old soul, so expect to see a lot of older films being reviewed. I hope you can find what you need here! Archives
