After returning home from a vacation, Regina Lampert is informed that her husband has been murdered. She is thrown into chaos as people are after her for a quarter of a million dollars her husband had possessed before he was killed. As she tries to find the money and stay alive, she falls in love, is lied to, and has to figure out who she can trust.
I enjoyed this movie more than I expected to. It seemed like it would be boring in the beginning, but it got really interesting. It almost felt like Donen was trying to remake Hitchcock's Vertigo though. Aside from that, I enjoyed all of the twists and turns in this movie. I didn't see any of it coming. Just when I thought I knew what was going on or who a character was, there was another twist. Typical of a Donen film, it had a happy ending, but I thought it worked well with the rest of the story.

AuthorHello fellow film lovers! Just a little bit about me: I love movies from the Old Hollywood era, especially musicals. In general, my movie taste is a bit all over the place. I don't really stick to one genre, as I just watch whatever looks interesting! I look forward to broadening my horizons in terms of film and reviewing them to the best of my ability in an honest way. Reading another passion of mine, and I'm frequently told I have an old soul, so expect to see a lot of older films being reviewed. I hope you can find what you need here! Archives
